The very first name on the very first Big 8 Conference beach championship will be Sierra College.

The Wolverines wrapped up the inaugural conference title in dominating fashion, knocking off Marin and Feather River 5-0 at home on Thursday, April 26. The Wolverines finished 12-3 on the season and had a perfect 8-0 record in the Big 8.

The win was just the beginning of a huge weekend for Sierra. The following day Sara Schell and Savanah Schroeder captured the pairs title and overall all five pairs qualified for the NorCal pairs championships on May 2.

Sierra enters the tournament as a No.1 seed and will host Feather River and Gavilan. Should the Wolverines win both matches they will head to the state championships for the first time in school history.
