The second half of Big 8 Conference play has begun and the action at the College of Marin on Friday did not disappoint.  Sierra swept COM 5-0 with a rematch at the 1's position that went the Wolverine's way this time around.  Paige Skinner and Alexis Adebodun lost a three-setter earlier in the season and struck first with a win in the first set, 21-18.  Marin answered by winning the second set, staging the game three showdown that Skinner and Adebodun grabbed the early lead on.  They did not relinquish the lead the entire set and won 15-9 to take the dual.   Grace Rodriguez and Taylor Stolz dominated at the two position with a 2-0 win 21-11, 21-9.

The second match of the day was versus conference rival American River College.  Sierra defeated ARC 3-2 with all three duals decided in 3 sets. Kaitlyn Shilling and Sofia Guerrero put the first gritty win on the board with a back and forth dual that saw ARC win the first 22-20, Sierra take the second, 23-21. In the third, Sierra went out to an early lead and played solid, strategic volleyball to see a game three triumph, 15-8.  The 1's pair of Skinner/Adebodun lost a close first set 22-24.  In set two, the Wolverines stayed aggressive from the service line and found themselves with a 21-15 win to force the deciding 3rd set.  It took extra points to get it done but the Wolverines went up 2-1 in the match with an 18-16 win.  Almost simultaneously, the 5's pair of Wyievee Binda and Molly Fowler closed out a nailbiter with a 15-12 the third to secure the match.

The Wolverines will be back in action on Friday, April 12th at Delta College versus Folsom Lake College and Consumnes River College.
