The Sierra College baseball team capped a three-game series against Sacramento City with a 7-4 win on Friday, April 13.

Sierra's Nate Barry pitched seven strong innings to earn his 8th win of the season and the Wolverines' bullpen closed the game out with two innings of scoreless relief. Kamahao Keoho, Elijah Garcia and Takashi Umino limited the Panthers to just one hit. Umino earned his fourth save of the season. Garcia was credited with the hold.

Sierra (24-9, 13-5) is currently ranked No. 2 in Northern California and remains tied with Delta (28-6, 13-5) for first place in the Big 8 Conference with six games remaining in the regular season.

Gianni Bloom (2 for 3) and Matt Lopez provided the offense for the Wolverines with two runs batted in each. Charles Middleton was 2 for 5 and Zach Bushling and Logan Wurm had one RBI each. Wurm's sacrifice fly in the seventh inning drove in Randy Schab and put Sierra ahead to stay.

Sierra plays a rare night game at Folsom Lake College on Tuesday night (5 pm).
