Mrs. McKenzie joined the coaching staff of Sierra College as a parent volunteer/statistician in 2010. Her desire to be involved is rooted in her belief that coaches can best serve the athletes when coaching instead of dealing with the paperwork and admin details of running a program. She brings her organizational and communication skills to the pool deck to help keep parents involved with the program, provide administrative support to the coaches, and keep detailed game stats.
She gained her experience on the pool deck of Del Oro High School, spending 7 years as the team statistician and administrative assistant for the boys’ WP team. She is also involved with Sacramento Water Polo, now that the main practice site is in Rocklin, and travelled to Hungary in 2010 with the team. As team manager/statistician for the Sierra College Men’s team, Mrs. McKenzie retired June 2015 from Newcastle school District.
