Billy Musgrave enters his 3rd season bringing the fire to the Wolverine defensive line! Coach also coordinates all football recruiting efforts.
In 2023, Musgrave's defensive line was fearsome in their ability to take the football away - Sierra finished 6th in the state in fumbles recovered. He also guided DE Jalen Bryant (Inderkum HS) to All-Conference honors. In his first season in 2022, Musgrave was instrumental in implimenting an active 3-man front as part of a defense that allowed fewer points than any at Sierra College since 2008.
Prior to arriving at Sierra, Musgrave spent 5 years coaching at the high school level with stops at Rio Linda, South Salem (OR), and Dallas (OR) high schools. During his time he coached 14 all-conference players. Coach Musgrave also lead Portland-based EForce football, a 7 on 7 squad as the head coach.
Musgrave grew up in nearby Loomis, CA, and graduated from Del Oro High School and was part of the 2013 CIF section championship team. From there he moved on to play at Southern Oregon University, where he helped lead the 2015 team to a berth in the NAIA National Championship. He finished his undergraduate education graduating with a B.A. in sociology from Oregon State University.
