Sierra College

Former Wolverine player Vince Mayle returns for his 2nd season on staff, bringing a wealth of experience at the highest level to the Wide Receiver and Special Teams units. In is 1st season on staff with the Wolverines, he mentored freshman Dontae Robinson to being selected to the All-State team after he led the NorCal conference with 11 TD and 17.1 yards per catch.

Coach Mayle spent 5 years in the NFL playing wide receiver after being drafted in the 4th round by the Cleveland Browns in 2015. He also spent time playing for the Baltimore Ravens and LA Chargers. After retiring from the NFL, he began his coaching career at the high school level, previously serving as Offensive Coordinator at Woodland High School.

Prior to being drafted, Vince starred at Washington State University, thriving in the Air Raid offense under coach Mike Leach during the 2013 and 2014 seasons. During his senior year he led the Pac-12 conference in both receptions (106) and receiving yards (1,493), on his way to being named 2nd team all-conference and being tabbed as a contender for the Belitnikoff award for the nation's top Wide Receiver. Both marks are school records at Washington State.

Coach Mayle grew up in Sacramento and graduated from Inderkum High School before playing at Sierra College in 2012. He set the record for most receiving TD's in a season that year with 16 and led the Wolverines to a Bulldog Bowl berth against College of San Mateo.

In addition to coach Mayle's own NFL career, Sierra has produced some of the best receivers in the country in recent years including Brandon Aiyuk (Arizona State, 1st Round draft pick SF 49ers), Devin Gray (University of Cincinatti, Atlanta Falcons), Aaron Short (Oregon State), Emari White (UTEP), Josh Farr (UTEP), and Isaiah Bailey (Sacramento State). Numerous other former Sierra Wide Receivers have dotted Division 1 rosters over the years, and coach Mayle will be committed to keeping Sierra College "WRU".
