Two Solid Performances by the Wolverines

Two wolverines at net to block ball during game.

Wednesday night's matchup versus state ranked #11 ARC was their second meeting this season.  This time it took 4 games instead of 5 to get the win and the squad hit .365 behind two blazing attacking performances in middle, Wyievee Binda and right-side Alexis Boccia.  Both players had career highs versus ARC.  Binda had 11 kills, 1 error on 15 swings and Boccia had 10 kills, 1 error on 21 swings.

Friday night's match up versus CRC was decided in 3 sets with the Wolverines victorious hitting a solid .303 as a team.  Team high came from our Paige Skinner's creative point scoring.  She knocked down 16 kills and hit for .353 on the night.  All the pin hitters put in solid attacking performances in a very explosive and balanced offense. Libero, Sofia Guerrero picked up 17 digs in each match and is one of the state's leading defenders thus far this season.

Two home matches are next up for the Wolverines.  They play Santa Rosa Junior College on Wednesday, 10/4 and then have a showdown with the Delta College on 10/11 at the William Jessup Activities Center.  Match times are 6:30 PM.
