Bio

Aidan Campion enters his 20th year in coaching, 12th at the JC level and 5th season on staff at Sierra College. 2025 will be his 3rd season coordinating the defense in addition to his responsibilities coaching the Secondary. prior to 2024, Coach Campion coached Linebackers for the Wolverines. He was also the Defensive Coordinator at De Anza College.

As a linebackers coach at Sierra, Campion has mentored 5 All-Conference players in 3 seasons at Sierra: Jamal Wallace (Ruskin HS, University of Tennessee), Jonathan Brown (Bishop Manogue HS), Mihalis Santorineos (Rancho Cotate HS, University of New Mexico), Tui Vaivai (San Juan HS, Western Illinois), and Roy Johnson (Del Campo HS, Texas A&M Kingsville). During previous coaching stops, he has coached over 20 scholarship players, with 8 of them matriculating to the Division 1 level.

Coach Campion also heads up the Sierra Football Greyshirt Program, otherwise known as the "G-Squad". Under his leadership, dozens of true freshmen student-athletes are supported and pushed to grow, mature, and create value for themselves as student-athletes and young men as they navigate the often-difficult 1st year of college.

Prior to arriving at Sierra, Campion spent time coaching at City College of San Francisco, De Anza College, and Cabrillo College. Those years were highlighted by coaching the 12-1 National Championship team in 2015 at CCSF, and a 10-1 American Division championship team in 2018 at De Anza.

Originally from Sunnyvale, CA, Coach Campion graduated from San Jose State University in 2010. He would later go on to add an M.S. from Concordia University and an M.Ed from National University in 2015. 

In addition to his coaching duties, Campion is a teacher at Horizon Charter School. Coach Campion resides in Carmichael with his wife Natasha, daughter Mercy, and son Justice.
