Sierra College Softball has a rich history of success both on and off the field. With 14 straight playoff appearances and regional championships since 2000, the team has consistently been one of the top programs in California community college softball.
In addition to their athletic accomplishments, Sierra Softball has also been recognized for their academic achievements. In 2010, the team was named the top academic community college team in the nation, and they have had 20 Academic All-Conference honorees since 2000.
The program has produced numerous successful student-athletes, including 28 All-American players, 19 All-State First Team players, and 29 All-NorCal players. Additionally, 71 players have been named All-Conference First Team since 2000.
In 2018 and 2022, Sierra College Softball won the Big 8 Conference Championship and finished as runner-up in the State Championship in 2022. The team has a strong reputation for developing talented players and providing opportunities for them to continue their softball careers at four-year universities.
Most recently, Amaya Sutton was named the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Player of the Week in February 2023, highlighting the continued success of Sierra Softball's student-athletes.
