Bio
Brian Seva returns to Sierra College to lead the softball program for the 2025\26 school year after two successful seasons as head coach at Yuba College. He previously served as an assistant coach under legendary head coach Darci Brownell during her final season in 2023, when the Wolverines went 43-5 and reached the state final eight.
At Yuba College, Seva took over a struggling program that had finished 6-27 and led it to back-to-back Golden Valley Conference championships. His 2024 team posted a 22-16 record, and his 2025 squad went 39-9-1, finishing third in the state and earning Seva CCCAA Coach of the Year honors.
During his tenure at Yuba, he coached NFCA All-American and North State Pitcher of the Year Danni Farris, along with three All-State selections: Faith Epperson (GVC MVP and state stolen base leader), Jerzie Brown, and Aaliyah Tinoco.
Seva began his coaching career as the founding coach of the Five Cities Screaming Eagles, leading the team for four years and achieving three top-10 finishes at USA Nationals. He then moved into travel ball with the LTG (Love the Game) organization, guiding multiple teams to top national finishes. His accomplishments with LTG include:
-
3rd place at the 2019 USA Softball 14A Nationals
-
9th at the 2019 PGF Platinum 14U Nationals
-
13th at the 2021 PGF Premier 16U Nationals
-
3rd at the 2022 PGF Premier 16U Nationals
-
Three consecutive 5th-place finishes at the Colorado Sparkler Power Pool (2021–2023)
In addition to his travel and college coaching success, Seva spent six years coaching at Granite Bay High School, where he led the team to Sierra Foothill League (SFL) titles in 2018 and 2023.
A resident of Granite Bay, Seva and his wife have three children: Hailey, Avery, and Benny. Hailey (Class of ’25) recently concluded her playing career at Southern Oregon University, while Avery (Class of ’27) is a junior at Santa Clara University.
Seva holds a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from San Jose State University and a Master’s in health and human performance from Pittsburg State University.
