Sierra College Women’s Soccer Shines at National Convention with Top Rankings and Scholar Honors
The Sierra College Women's Soccer Team was well represented with their #8 National Ranking at United Soccer Coaches Association Convention. The Wolverines finished the season by winning the regular season Big 8 conference and an CCCAA Elite 8 appearance for the fifth time in the past six seasons.
For the first time in program history, Hannah Andreasen was named National Scholar All American Player of the Year. Two other Wolverines were named Scholar All American Kyra DiBenedetto and Angelina Kazinec. Kazinec and Dibenedetto also were named All Americans by the United Soccer Coaches Association and Andreasen was named All Region.
Hannah Andreasen (Biology) a goalkeeper will continue as a student athlete in the fall at UC Merced. Kyra Dibenedetto (Business) will continue as a student athlete Western Oregon University. Angelina Kazinec (Kinesiology) is still undecided and talking to 4-year colleges.
