2024 Sierra College Women's Volleyball Poised to be a Formidable Force in the North Region

The Sierra College Volleyball team is gearing up for an exciting 2024 season, showcasing a blend of veteran leadership and fresh talent. This year's squad is poised to be a formidable force in the North Region. 

Pin Hitters:The Wolverines are anchored by the experience of veteran pin hitters Taylor Stoltz, Paige Skinner, and Ally Stumbo. Their leadership on the court will be critical as they guide the team through a challenging season. Newcomers Paiton Allen and Angela Poshelyuznyy add size and enthusiasm to the offensive lineup, promising to elevate the team's attacking capabilities. 

Setters:At the setting position, the Wolverines welcome back All-Conference player Jordyn Deter, whose experience and competitive spirit are invaluable. Joining her is newcomer Zoe Moeller, another fierce competitor with a wealth of experience. Together, they aim to orchestrate a fast-paced, relentless offense that will keep opponents on their heels. 

Middle Blockers:The middle blocking core is solid, led by returner Wyievee Binda, who brings her experience from the 2023 beach season. She's joined by redshirt Sonja Ivankay and freshmen Lainey Black and Eliza Presgrave. This group is not only a blocking force but looks to add to the offense as well. 

Defensive Specialists:On the defensive side, the Wolverines boast strong talents in returning players Sofia Guerrero and Molly Fowler, alongside freshman Claire Johnson. These local talents are dedicated to improving the team's ball-handling and serving skills, pushing the squad to excel in every match. 

Overall, Sierra College Volleyball is set for a dynamic 2024 season with a balanced mix of experienced returners and enthusiastic newcomers, all striving to make their mark and push the team to new heights.
