Sierra College Secures 2 Major Victories

Sierra College Women's Volleyball had a standout week, securing two major victories. Their 3-1 win over long-time rival ARC was particularly significant, with a remarkable defensive effort leading the way. Several players hit career-highs in digs: Molly Fowler (17), Taylor Stolz (15), Sophia Guerrero (15), Paige Skinner (17), and Jordyn Deter (17). On defense, Wyievee Binda added 3 blocks, Lainey Black 3 blocks, and Taylor Stolz led with 4 blocks. Stolz also dominated offensively, racking up 23 kills, while setter Jordyn Deter contributed 6 kills and 48 assists, facilitating the balanced attack. 

The Wolverines continued their momentum by sweeping Sac City 3-0. Led by Deter's playmaking, the offense was well-balanced: Stolz had 13 kills, Ally Stumbo 6 kills, Paige Skinner 6 kills, and Wyievee Binda 7 kills. The team is set to complete the first round of Big 8 play this Wednesday against DVC.
