Women’s Water Polo Dominant Against Big 8 Opponents

Sierra College Women's Water Polo improved to 6-1 overall, 2-0 Big 8 after their two most recent wins over American River College and Sacramento City College. Sierra has scored 85 times this season, and average 12.14 goals per game. They have outscored their Big 8 opponents 38-11.

On September 19, Sierra hosted American River College in the 2018 Big 8 home opener. American River scored first in all four quarters, but Sierra answered back to win with a resounding 17-8 final. The Wolverines were led by Grace O'Callaghan who scored four goals on four shots, while Mackenzie Crouch and Shanti Reisinger each scored three, with Reisinger assisting on three additional goals.

On September 26, Sierra hosted Sacramento City for their second Big 8 contest of 2018. Again, Sierra was dominant, scoring 21 goals to the Panthers 3. 12 Wolverines scored goals, with Stephanie Friesen and Grace O'Callaghan leading with 4 and 3 goals respectively.

Sierra will take on four non-conference matches and a Big 8 contest before returning home to host Fresno on Wednesday, October 10 at 3:30pm.
