Dr. Hansen has been volunteering his time as the Sierra College team physician for the last four years. Dr. Hansen works at Roseville Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He covers competitions, evaluates, and treats student-athletes at Sierra College. Dr. Hansen completed his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University and his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He did his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and upon completion Dr. Hansen accept a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine through UC San Diego. While there he provided care for athletes from the San Diego Padres, San Diego State and UC San Diego. His fellowship experience provided him with extensive training in the treatment of athletes and specific focus on reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Hansen serves as a faculty instructor for training centers in Chicago and San Diego where participants go to be instructed on state-of-the-art techniques for shoulder surgery. Dr. Hansen is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and California Orthopedic Association.
