Football Records Back-to-Back Wins, Preps for Big Game at Sacramento City

Sierra College Football improves to 2-2 overall and looks to add another win Saturday, Sep. 29 as they travel to Sacramento City College to take on the Panthers at 6:00pm.

Sacramento City, also at 2-2 on the season, and Sierra have both lost to San Francisco, beat Diablo Valley, and statistically look like very similar teams.

The Wolverines are coming off two big wins, one over West Hills Coalinga on September 15th, a 44-26 victory for Sierra, and most recently a 42-17 win over Diablo Valley College.

Sierra QB Joseph Curry leads the state in completion percentage with 69.8% over four games and is responsible for 10 touchdowns which are good for 4th in CA. Curry has 60 completions, 663 yards and sits at 221 yards per game headed into Saturday.

Ryan Graham leads the Wolverines with 231 rushing yards, averaging 77 per game, and 242 receiving yards. On September 26, 2018 Graham was named the National Division Offensive Player of the Week for his 12 carries for 120 yards and a touchdown, and eight catches for 155 yards with two more scores from the DVC game. Amir Murray leads Sierra's defense in number of tackles with 15, followed by Steven Brown II with 13. Hassani Zackery has returned 187 yards and received for 240 on the season so far.

Sierra at Sacramento City will kick off at 6:00pm Saturday, Sep. 29 at Hughes Stadium on the campus of Sacramento City College.
