Football Wins Four Straight, Gears Up for League Battle Against American River

Coming off four straight wins, including a 42-29 win in the first league game against Shasta, Sierra College Football gears up for a big one Saturday against American River College. Your Wolverines are averaging 444.8 yards, 282 passing yards and 162.8 rushing yards per game. American River is averaging 304.7 yards, 168 passing yards and 136.7 rushing yards per game.

Sierra running back Ryan Graham currently leads the nation in all-purpose yards at 1,074 on the year. Graham averages 126 rushing yards per game and added 158 in his most recent outing against Shasta. Hassani Zackery is second on the team in all-purpose yards with 624, averaging just over 100 per game.

Sophomore quarterback Joseph Curry holds the team high in passing yards with 1,383 with a 276.6 average per game. Curry passed for 415 yards in the recent Shasta game, while also passing for 15 touchdowns this year.

Steven Brown II leads the defense with 69 tackles, averaging 11.5 per game, followed by Amir Murray and Waylen Cozad with 61 and 49 tackles respectively. As a team, Sierra sits at an average of 78.3 tackles per game.

Sierra hosts American River on Saturday, October 20 at 1:00pm at Sierra College in Rocklin.
