Sierra College Football closes out 2018 with the Grizzly Bowl Championship, along with posting the best season record since 2008, with an overall mark of 7-4. The Wolverines faced Sacramento City in the regular season, as well as the Grizzly Bowl, prevailing in both games and taking the 24-10 bowl game victory on December 1 at Sierra College.

The Grizzly Bowl started out slow for both teams, with a 0-0 score at the half. In the third quarter, Sierra drew first blood, when Fernando Esparza scored three with a 24 yard field goal. Sierra then added to their lead with a Joshua Farr touchdown off a 56 yard pass from Joseph Curry. Fernando Esparza's kick is good and puts the Wolverines up 10-0.

Not giving up quite yet, Sacramento City scores a touchdown, followed by a 24 yard field goal tying things up 10-10 and closing out third quarter scoring. In the fourth, Sierra once again held off the Panthers, as well as added two touchdowns from Ryan Graham. The first was from a 7 yard run, the second from a 51 yard run. Two more good kicks from Fernando Esparza wrapped up the win and Sierra took home the 2018 Grizzly Bowl Trophy with the 24-10 victory over Sacramento City.

Running Back Ryan Graham ran for 187 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries, including a 51-yard touchdown with just 6:36 left in the game and earning bowl MVP honors. Graham adds to his impressive season total of 2,059 all purpose yards, 1,276 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns.

2018 saw an impressive showing from the Wolverines, averaging over 30 points per game, along with an average 415.1 yards with 169.4 rushing yards per game. Head Coach Ben Noonan picks up his winningest season at Sierra College, as well as leading the Wolverines to their first Bowl Game since 2015.
