Former Sierra College Football standout Brandon Aiyuk was picked up in round one of the 2020 NFL draft and will be starting his professional career at the San Francisco 49ers as the 25th pick.

Aiyuk came to Sierra from McQueen High School in Reno, NV and made a big impact on the 2016 and 2017 seasons. He scored a total of 19 touchdowns, 14 in his sophomore year, and grabbed 89 receptions, 1533 yards and averaged 76.7 yards per game in his 20 appearances as a Wolverine.

At Arizona State, Aiyuk racked up 31.9 yards per kick return, an ASU program record, as well as finishing his collegiate career in the top ten all time for single season receptions with 65, as well as in receiving years with 1,192.

Aiyuk's impressive collegiate career, both at Sierra and at ASU led to a 25th pick by the 49ers in round one of the 2020 NFL draft. "In a wide receiver class that is considered as deep as any position in the 2020 NFL Draft, Arizona State's Brandon Aiyuk is being pegged as the best among the seniors." (The Democrat and Chronicle, Jan. 22, 2020)
