The California Community College Athletic Association has officially cancelled the 2020 Men's and Women's Basketball State Championships. Sierra Women's Basketball (NorCal #4) was scheduled to take on Moorpark (SoCal #1) Thursday at 5:00pm, but around 11:00am, the word came down: No championship would be played. This over concerns related to COVID-19 and the increasing potential health hazards. Prior to this decision, it was announced that the championship games would be played, but with no spectators. However as the situation developed the CCCAA decided to cancel the games outright.

Sierra finishes their season with a 22-7 record and an Elite Eight finish.
