Lady Wolverines Golf takes 3rd in Big 8

The Sierra College women's golf team closed out Big 8 Conference competition on Oct. 26 as they took third place out of eight teams with a team score of 361 at Turlock Golf and Country Club. 

Leading the Wolverines was Lauren Schmidt with a score of 84, tied for the third lowest individual score of the day. Veronica Cantu-Maher and Kiley Menne both shot a 90 while Sharon McFarland finished at 97. Schmidt, Cantu-Maher and McFarland all finished on the Top-10 All Conference team. 

Modesto and Reedley were the top two teams in the Big 8 this season.

Sierra will now prepare for the NorCal Regional Tournament which will take place at Yolo Fliers Club in Woodland on Monday and Tuesday with hopes of advancing to the State Tournament at Hunter Ranch Golf Course on Nov. 13.
