Sierra College Women's Soccer remains undefeated and continues their 2018 win streak (now 13 straight) with Tuesday evening's 5-1 victory over Delta in Rocklin. A fierce Delta squad held Sierra scoreless for the first 35 minutes of play, before Christina Kanellou found the back of the net off a setup from Grace Vargas.

Sierra led 1-0 at halftime before they really started to break things open in the second half. Back-to-back goals from Maddy Morrison (one unassisted at 53:14 and one off an assist from Christina Kanellou at 56:18) added two more to the Wolverine lead. Not willing to go home scoreless, Jay Her scored Delta's first (and only) goal of the evening in the 56th minute unassisted.

Just before the 60th minute of play, Sierra's Alexis Day was able to capitalize on a penalty kick to score a fourth goal, and in the 88th minute, a Sierra corner kick from Alexis Day was the perfect precursor for a fifth Wolverine goal by Emily Dahla (unassisted) 34 seconds later.

That would be all the scoring of the night, Sierra emerging with their 13th straight win of 2018 and sending the Delta Mustangs home with just their second loss of the year.

Your Wolverines are now 13-0 on the season and are the currently lead the Big 8 with their 8-0 conference record. They have outscored their conference opponents 38-5, and lead the state in overall goals scored with 73 on the season.
