Sierra Volleyball Starts off with Two Significant Wins

The Sierra College Volleyball team kicked off their 2024 season in impressive fashion, securing two significant wins against the 2023 state runners-up, Feather River Eagles, and Butte College. Sophomore Jordyn Deter was a standout performer, leading in multiple statistical categories with 11 kills, 74 assists, 24 digs, and 5 aces. The team demonstrated a well-balanced offense, with Taylor Stolz contributing 26 kills, Paige Skinner adding 20 kills, Ally Stumbo with 13 kills, and Wyievee Binda chipping in 9 kills. The strong ball-handling from Molly Fowler and Sofia Guerrero played a pivotal role in the team's offensive success, setting the stage for a promising season ahead.
